We write this letter as Logan’s parents, with hearts full of gratitude and emotion. Thank you for your extraordinary generosity in providing the funding for Logan’s Tobii Dynavox TD I-13 with Gaze Interaction device. Your kindness has truly changed the path of our son’s future.
As parents, there is nothing more difficult than watching your child want to communicate — to express pain, joy, curiosity, or love — and not have the ability to do so. Logan has always had so much inside of him. We see it in his eyes every day. Until now, however, those eyes were the only reliable way he could try to connect with the world around him.
Because of your support, his eyes are no longer just searching — they are speaking.
This device is more than technology. It is our son’s voice. It is the bridge between his thoughts and the people who love him. For the first time, Logan will be able to clearly tell us when he is hungry, uncomfortable, tired, or not feeling well. He will be able to share preferences, answer questions, participate in school, and engage with his classmates. He will be able to initiate conversations instead of waiting for others to guess what he needs.
For a medically fragile child who depends on others for nearly everything, this gift restores something incredibly powerful: dignity and independence.
You have given Logan the opportunity to:

- Experience a sense of control in his daily life

As his parents, we cannot fully express what that means to us. You have not simply purchased equipment. You have opened a door that was previously closed.
