From Regression to Recovery: A Mother's Gratitude

Sovna Das

Sometimes, the biggest heartbreak is watching your child lose a skill they worked so hard to gain. 💔

After a recent change in seizure medication, our sweet Naksh experienced a regression and lost the head and trunk control he had worked so incredibly hard to develop. As parents, it was heartbreaking to watch.

But we kept going. ❤️

We added more therapies and a two-week in-home intensive with Strong Start Pediatric Therapy. Miss Melissa worked with Naksh on head control, trunk control, and neuro-spinal modulation using NISE stimulation. Slowly, we started seeing glimpses of our little warrior finding his way back toward his baseline. 🥹💙
This intensive was fully sponsored by the Mar 5 gratitude Foundation. We are incredibly grateful to Steven and the foundation for this support. The grant came at a time when we needed it most, and we truly believe some blessings arrive exactly when they are meant to. 🙏❤️
As a family on a work visa, with our only source of income is restricted to one employer only. But we will keep showing up for our little guy .
Thank you, Mar 5 Gratitude Foundation, for being part of Naksh’s healing journey. Your kindness means more to our family than words can express. ❤️
