Faces of Gratitude

Real people. Real impact. Heartfelt thanks from those you've helped.

The Markowitz Family has helped 'make the nevers possible' for families through their generous support of KultureCity. Their commitment to creating a world where individuals with sensory and neurodiverse needs are accepted, included, and empowered has transformed lives. From increasing accessibility in public spaces to amplifying awareness around autism accessibility, their impact is felt in every first time experience for a family. They have given individuals who have not experienced memories like a ballgame and restaurant that opportunity, and have supported non-verbal individuals with autism complete marathons and iron man races!!! Their support is paramount in making the world more accessible for people with invisible disabilities like autism, and their ability to share our story amplifies our impact.
General Bob Dees
The Mar5 Gratitude Foundation has been a difference maker for disadvantaged military families and children by your generous donation to the National Center for Healthy Veterans. Specifically, the resources you shared with us will enhance our counseling and equine services to military families and children. This will enhance their mental health and allow them to recover more quickly from hardship and trauma. As President of the National Center for Healthy Veterans at Valor Farm, I truly honor the compassion and generosity of the Mar5 Foundation. You make the world a better place for those you serve.
From a Parent
I cannot express how much support from Mar5 has meant to our son and our family. Raising a child with special needs comes with many incremental costs, and having this extra help has been incredibly appreciated. Children on the autism spectrum require a lot of therapies that are not covered by insurance, so receiving financial assistance has been invaluable as we manage the expenses of various therapies, such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and more. Thanks to Mar5, our son had the opportunity to enroll in an expensive cell therapy that would not have been possible otherwise. He has made significant progress in many areas, which we believe would not have happened without this support. Thank you, Mar5!
Wooster School
We -- Wooster School (Danbury, CT) -- are deeply grateful for your family's support. We are a small, independent day school of 325 students from CT and NY. Our student population is diverse in all the ways our society is. We are just beginning a robotics program for our students, as many learn best through experiential and hands-on activities. Your family's support has allowed us to kickstart our program particularly on the robotics side of things. Next year, our students will have the chance to build and program robots, learning coding, collaboration, and design -- all skills and dispositions that will directly help them in school and in life, especially in the age of artificial intelligence. Your family is helping to inspire the next generation of our country to think creatively and leverage the best of our human gifts. With gratitude for your vision, Wooster School in Danbury.
Winston Preparatory School
We were so thrilled to receive support from the Mar5 Gratitude Foundation earlier this year. We are a multi-campus school for students with learning disabilities, and the grant from the Mar5 Gratitude Foundation enabled us to purchase valuable computers and software essential to our individualized and comprehensive learning program. The Foundation also exemplified best practices when it came to making this gift. I have worked in the field of fundraising for close to 25 years, and the Mar5 Gratitude Foundation works the way all foundations should: they find out what potential grantees need most and then make it easy for them to apply for funding. No making grantees jump through unnecessary hoops, just a deep commitment making a real difference. We are so grateful for their support.
